Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences was host to the third meeting of International Council of Medical Universities of 9th Zone.

On May 2^nd, 2019 medical universities and schools of Great Khorasan Province gathered together to share their best practices and report on the activities they have been doing during last 6 months. This meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Amirkhani, Advisor to Deputy Minister of Health in International Affairs. This meeting was also integrated with the meeting of internationalization of medical education of 9^th zone medical universities.

At the beginning, Dr. Amirkhani announced that Health Diplomacy is the main focus of Ministry of Health in 2019-20 and presented 5 approaches of health Diplomacy. Provision of health sector needs, playing an international role across the region, claiming our share of the region market, offering service packages to the market, and market-based planning and wealth generation are five approaches of the health diplomacy.

Following this speech, directors of international affairs of Mashhad, Sabzevar, North Khorasan, Birjand, Torbate Jaam,Torbate Heydariye, Neyshabour, Gonabad and Esfarayen reported their best practices in the field of internationalization of universities.

Establishment of a UNESCO Category2 Center in the field of Nutrition and Cooperation with EIDOS Company, working in the field of production of medical training simulators, in Mashhad, running IPD in Sabzevar hospitals, start of international Summer School of Medicine in Bojnourd, impressive progress of research in Neyshabour and all other experiences were shared and discussed.
